Acapella Music Groups
Acapella Singers
Magic of Music
The word A Capella is defined as singing without instrumental accompaniments.
Sometimes an A Capella music group will imitate instruments with their voices, hands, bodies or mouths.
I love music. If you have read many of my hubs, you will know that I illustrate through Music video's because the expression of music takes the words to another level as it sinks into ones soul as nothing else can.
Though there are many forms of music, my favorite style and expression of music is the beauty of A Capella Singing.
The melding of voices into impeccably arranged vocals with layered harmonies in the form called A Capella touches the heart. A Capela music reaches my emotions and expresses my heart.
A gifted A Capella vocalist knows how to pull, meld and blend his voice with his group to create amazing music and unique sounds. A capella paints pictures and delights hearts. When this blend occurs, if I close my eyes, I feel I am being taken out of the natural realm to a place where the Magic of Music meets my soul.
As you listen to these brilliant vocalists allow yourself to feel the emotions rise within. Listen attentively to the blending of voices. As you relax and allow the sounds to flow ... You will be blessed by pure, authentic and heavenly melodies.
Personally the magnificence of opulent A capella voices coming together in perfect harmony, thrills me to the toes. I have experienced emotions so deep that I have wept in the process of allowing moving, brilliant harmony to sink deep inside of me.
Only the most gifted musicians should ever attempt to sing A cappella. When one sings without accompaniment there is nothing to cover a miss. One teenie weenie miss and the spell is broken .... the whole song ruined.
I would like to introduce you to some of my favorite A cappella groups in this article. Below you will find videos with descriptions for each group.
This hub was written to store these A capella groups and their giftedness in one place. I invite you now to sit back, relax and let the sound of music take you to beautiful and celestial places to be freed from the stresses of everyday life.

That's Christmas To Me by Pentatonix
Christmas with Pentatonix
Mary Did You Know is an extremely moving song pondering what it might have felt like to be the Mother of the Son of God. It is also one of my very favorite Christmas Songs.
The Pentatonix are Vocal sensations and also the winners of season 3 of NBC’s The Sing-Off. This talented group of young acapella singers are taking instrument-free music far beyond anyone’s wildest expectations. They are named after the world’s most widely recognized five-note music scale, this quintet has transformed one of pop music’s purest and most soulful ...
Pentatonix is comprised of lead vocalists Scott Hoying (22), Kirstie Maldonado (21) and Mitch Grassi (21), vocal bass Avi Kaplan (24) and beatboxer Kevin “K.O.” Olusola (25)
Thi Pentatonix sound moves me to the depth and touches me soul. I pray it moves you too. ENJOY and remember who it is that LOVES you and sacrificed ALL to give you life.

ACAPPELLA
In the late 1980s an all men's Christian singing group, called Acappella, became very popular. Their ability to combine several styles of music together in the same song was a fresh approach to the Christian Music Community.
When my kids were teens and a song by Acappella came on the radio .. we'd all break into dancing while singing full throttle.
These men are gifted! Their voices have shifting shades, colors and depth as they merge together to create magic. The men of Acappella create a sound that sends goosebumps running through me.
Acappella has a richness, rhythm and style unique to the music world. I hope you will enjoy the radiance and beauty of their music as much as my family does. Sit back .. relax and get ready for the ride by some of the best Acappella singers in the world!
SIDENOTE: To my utter JOY, one of the vocalists in the Acappella group, Wayburn Dean, married a friend of mine from years gone by. Here is what Wayburn has to say about my beautiful friend, “Janae is great at putting life’s experiences into lyrics and I’m pretty good at finding the melody, so we compliment each other. Where ever I travel, I take her with me because she can minister to people – especially to women – that maybe I can’t do. She plays a critical role in my life and in this ministry.”
Wayburn and Janae formed a non-profit organization called Afterword Music. They have donated thousands of cd's to missionaries and churches in Vietnam, India, Jamaica, Brazil, New Zealand, and other countries. Wayburn sees this as a chance to offer hope to those who may have never heard the Gospel.
The first video is Wayburn himself singing a solo. Although it is not Acapella it reveals the gift of music God put in his heart and displays his wife's propensity for lyric. Enjoy!

GLAD
Impeccably arranged vocals; layered harmonies; instrumental and vocal versatility, and strong ties to the local church-- these are the hallmarks of GLAD.
The band made its first two records for Myrrh/Word between 1978 and 1980. On their second outing, Beyond a Star, the group began to dabble with an a cappella sound ("The Reason").
Recently, the group released A Cappella Worship- Volume II inspired primarily by the writings of John Piper and the worship music of Sovereign Grace Ministries (formerly PDI).
Glad's most recent efforts are Voices of Christmas (released September 26, 2000), an eclectic and engaging offering of well known carols and original songs, and Pure and Holy Passion, the group's first band offering in six years.
Glad continues to tour at the rate of about fifty concerts per year. The group's concert ministry has two primary thrusts: 1) to effectively communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ while emphasizing themes such as God's sovereignty and delighting in God, and; 2) sharing with audiences about the child development work of Compassion International.
