Christian Acapella Singing Group (Songs on Video)

Not long ago I wrote a hub entitled: "The Beautiful Woman." In the hub I talked about my love of and deep appreciation for many forms and expressions of beauty.

This hub, Acapella Singing, is dedicated to one expression of true beauty .... Music. The magic of Music has lifted me up and out of my surroundings more than once. Music has grabbed my heart and taken me to a beautiful place where joy, goodness and pleasure exists.

There are so many forms of music to express what is in the heart. For the purposes of this hub I am narrowing the topic to one of my very favorite styles and expressions of music ... Acapella Singing.

Acapella singing is a form of music that uses no instrumental background at all. Many times the musicians in an Acapella group will imitate instruments with their voices, hands and mouths. The true splendor of voices, singing Acapella, is found in the way they pull and blend their voices together creating a sound like none other. When this blend occurs you may be taken out of the natural realm to a place where the Magic of Music touches your very soul.

As brilliant voices mingle they create the most lovely formulation of pure, authentic and heavenly quality. Only the most gifted musicians should ever attempt to sing Acapella. When one sings without accompaniment there is nothing to cover a miss. One teenie weenie miss and the spell will be broken .... the whole song ruined.

The magnificence of opulent voices coming together in perfect harmony thrills me to the toes. I have been known to weep when hearing the pure majesty of sound as it sinks deep into my being.

I would like to introduce you to two of my favorite Acapella groups. The first is an angelic sounding group of beautiful women called Celtic Woman. The second is a group of male singers, Acapella, made popular in the late 80's.

If you have never heard these woman sing ... get ready to hear the most angelic sound you can imagine. The voices of each of these woman is innocent, feminine, pure and holy .. there is a loveliness in each sound that flows from their lips.  

When the Celtic Woman blend their angelic voices together it feels as though you are being transported to the Glories of Heaven. I hope you too will experience the deep emotional connection to as you listen to the songs of the Celtic Woman.

Over the years, some of the group's members have changed; in 2009, the group consisted of Chloe Agnew, Lynn Hilary, Lisa Kelly, Alex Sharpe and fiddler Mairead Nesbitt.

In the late 1980's an all men's Christian singing group, called Acapella, became very popular. Their ability to combine several styles of music together in the same song was a fresh approach to the Christian Music Community. I remember when my kids were teens and a song by Acapella would come on .. we'd all break into dancing and singing full throttle. These men are gifted beyond what you can imagine. Their voices have shifting shades, colors and depth as they merge together to create magic. The men of Acapella create a sound that sends goosebumps right through me.

Acapella has a richness, rhythm and style unique to the music world. I hope you will enjoy the radiance and beauty of their music as much as I do. Sit back .. relax and get ready for the ride by some of the best Acapella singers in the world!
